DULUTH, Minn. (AP) -- Mark Zengerle had a goal and an assist and Joel Rumpel was perfect in nets for Wisconsin on Friday as the Badgers beat Minnesota-Duluth 2-0 in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association.

Rumpel made 29 saves for Wisconsin (1-2-0, 1-0-0). He has allowed two or less goals in eight of his last nine starts dating back to last season.

Tyler Barnes scored the Badgers' first goal in the first period, and Zengerle added an insurance tally on the power play midway through the third.

Jake McCabe assisted on both Wisconsin goals.

Minnesota-Duluth (2-3-0, 0-1-0) got 24 saves from Matt McNeely, but only five in each of the last two periods.
