The Chicago Bears have signed former Packers safety M.D. Jennings to a one-year contract.

Chicago announced the signing via the team’s Twitter feed on Wednesday morning. The value of the deal was not announced.

Jennings started 26 regular season games at safety for the Packers in the past two seasons, including all 16 regular season contests during the 2013 season. Jennings returned a fumble for a touchdown in 2013, and returned an interception for a touchdown in the 2012 season. Those two accounted for Jennings’ only takeaways with the Packers.

Jennings was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Packers in 2011. He played his college football at Arkansas State.
