Dave Robinson elected to Pro Football HOF

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- Linebacker Dave Robinson, who played on the memorable Green Bay Packers teams of the 1960s, has been elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Packers President Mark Murphy says Robinson was a vital part of the great defenses in the 1960s that helped Green Bay win NFL championships and Super Bowl titles under coach Vince Lombardi. Murphy says Robinson has also been a great ambassador for the Packers over the years.

Robinson was drafted by the Packers in the first round of the 1963 NFL Draft out of Penn State University. He played in 127 regular-season games during his 10 seasons in Green Bay. Robinson started on teams that won three consecutive NFL championships (1965-67) and two straight Super Bowls (I and II).
