You may have heard his voice before but may not know what he looks like. This weekend one local radio host is making his TV debut. truTV's bringing him to Texas for the Badger's game.
Big 1070 radio host Phil Dawson is stepping out of the audio booth, and into the national TV spotlight.
"All of a sudden it was like we're sending you to Texas, I was like boom," says Dawson.
So of course with making that on-camera transition, he's already made plans to spiff himself up. He bought a new suit.
"No bow tie, I do have a pocket square but I'm going to try a new knot...Not just your average Windsor."
The sports personality will be sideline reporting from the Badger's game in Texas on truTV's broadcast this Saturday.
"As a sideline reporter, I suppose it's just, I don't know, I've never really done it before."
But says he plans on following the pro's.
"I'm just going to copy what I saw Erin Andrews do, because she's the best."
All kidding aside, Phil says this is a great opportunity and is excited that Badger's fans will have a reporter telling them just how well our boys are playing.
"It feels like the hard long hours are paying off or something and all the different things I do and have done, it's getting a chance."
