Here is the latest Wisconsin sports news from The Associated Press:
ST. LOUIS (AP) -- The Milwaukee Brewers hope to continue their winning ways as they face the Cardinals tonight in St. Louis. The Brewers will send lefty Randy Wolf to the mound to take on Cardinals right-hander Joe Kelly. Milwaukee is coming off a three-game sweep of the Houston Astros.
MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Wisconsin coach Bret Bielema says running back Montee Ball won't be ready for camp after suffering a concussion during a street fight. Bielema said yesterday that Ball's absence will spare him hits and give other backs more repetitions. Police say five men jumped Ball and beat him as he was walking near campus early Wednesday.
GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- Green Bay Packers offensive line coach James Campen doesn't want any players thinking their job is a given. Right tackle Bryan Bulaga and new Packers center Jeff Saturday are among the linemen expected to start for Green Bay. But Campen says changes are possible because "guys can emerge in the preseason."
DENVER (AP) -- Rookie Josh Rutledge homered in his fourth straight game last night to lift the Colorado Rockies to an 8-2 win over the St. Louis Cardinals. Tyler Colvin added a tiebreaking double in the seventh for Colorado. Carlos Beltran had an RBI double for the Cardinals.
