Friday Morning Wisconsin Sports Report

Posted Friday, August 31, 2012 --- 9:35 a.m.

Here is the latest Wisconsin sports news from The Associated Press:

CHICAGO (AP) -- The Chicago Cubs overcame seven RBIs from Jonathan Lucroy to beat the Milwaukee Brewers 12-11 yesterday. Alfonso Soriano's walkoff single capped a three-run comeback in the ninth inning for the Cubs. Lucroy, Ryan Braun and Cody Ransom all homered for the Brewers.

CHICAGO (AP) -- Brewers starter Shaun Marcum left his start against the Chicago Cubs yesterday after four innings because of cramping in his right calf. Marcum was making his second start since missing two months because of elbow soreness. He was replaced by Livan Hernandez.

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- Graham Harrell threw two touchdown passes in the Green Bay Packers' 24-3 rout over the Kansas City Chiefs last night. Harrell completed 13- of 15 passes for 223 yards in the preseason finale for both teams. Ryan Succop kicked a field goal in the first for the Chiefs' lone score.

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- Packers backup quarterback Graham Harrell made a fashion faux pas during yesterday's preseason finale. Harrell says he had to change jerseys during the game, but the team apparently didn't have an identical replacement for his Nike-branded jersey, so he had to use an older one. Harrell added, "I hope I don't get fined."
