GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- James Jones and Randall Cobb are filling in nicely for injured Green Bay Packers receiver Greg Jennings. Jones caught two touchdowns last week in Houston, and Cobb had his first 100-yard receiving game. The Packers face the St. Louis Rams on Sunday.

LA CROSSE, Wis. (AP) -- Michael Conley hit two free throws in the closing seconds last night to give the Memphis Grizzlies a 97-94 preseason win over the Milwaukee Bucks. Beno Udrih missed a three-pointer as time expired for the Bucks. Monta Ellis led Milwaukee in scoring with 20 points.

ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Adam Wainwright pitched seven innings of four-hit ball last night to lead the St. Louis Cardinals to an 8-3 win over the San Francisco Giants in Game 4 of the NL championship series. Matt Holliday, Jon Jay and Yadier Molina had two RBIs apiece for the Cardinals, who lead the series 3-1. Lance Lynn faces Giants lefty Barry Zito tonight in Game 5.

DETROIT (AP) -- Max Scherzer led Detroit to an 8-1 win over the New York Yankees yesterday, sending the Tigers to the World Series for the second time in seven years. Scherzer took a no-hit bid into the sixth inning and finished with 10 strikeouts as the Tigers complete a four-game sweep. Miguel Cabrera, Jhonny Peralta and Austin Jackson all homered for Detroit.
