GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- The Green Bay Packers have hired Tom Clements as the team's new offensive coordinator. Clements has been the Packers' quarterbacks coach since 2006. He replaces Joe Philbin, who left to become head coach of the Miami Dolphins.
LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Olympic champion gymnast Paul Hamm failed to make it out of the first round in his first competitive meet in four years. The Wisconsin native struggled at the Winter Cup Challenge yesterday and didn't finish among the top 42. Hamm was an all-around gold medalist at the 2004 Olympics.
CAMBRIDGE, Wis. (AP) -- The mother of NASCAR driver Matt Kenseth has died in Wisconsin. An obituary from a Cambridge funeral home says Nicola Sue Kenseth battled Alzheimer's disease and died Tuesday at the age of 63. A funeral service is scheduled today in Cambridge.
NEW YORK (AP) -- Derrick Rose scored 32 points to power the Chicago Bulls past the New York Knicks 105-102 last night. Rose had 15 points in the fourth quarter and repeatedly answered rally attempts from the Knicks. Before the game, Rose was named a starter for the Eastern Conference in the All-Star game.
