Lancaster Flattens Platteville, 49-14

Lancaster made a statement to open up Southwestern Conference play Friday night with a 49-14 win against Platteville.

The Flying Arrows let it fly in the first half with 34 points, and 258 total offensive yards.

Lancaster got on the board after it's first drive of the game, capped off by a Trae Mezera goal line touchdown run.

The Hillsmen attempted to rally a response, but a mistimed hand-off turned into a turnover to give Lancaster the ball deep in Platteville territory. The fumble turned into points for the Flying Arrows on the next offensive play, as AJ Day completed a 28 yard pass to Kile Jerrett to give Lancaster a 14-0 lead.

Lancaster continued to control the game in the second quarter as Arrows to piled on points. Day would hit wide out Troy Baker for a 26 yard score to open up the quarter.

After letting the ball fly to start, the Arrows hit the ground running later in the contest. Midway through the second, Jerrett took a pitch left 46 yards to pay dirt to put Lancaster up 28-0.

Lancaster hit paydirt for a fifth time in the first half with a Troy Baker 8 yard rushing touchdown.
