The battle for the top spot in the Capital-South went down between Belleville and Marshall Friday night, as both teams entered the game 2-0 in the conference.
The Cardinals came out flying to start the game under quarterback Carl Henning. Henning started off the game with a quarterback keeper touchdown to cruise in for a quick 7-0 lead.
Henning and Marshall would open up the offense a little more in the later in the game. Eric Salas gave Marshall a 14-0 lead with a 63 yard touchdown run.
Salas and company would run the exact same play from 32 yards out a few possessions later. The play resulted in another touchdown for Marshall.
The Cardinals remain undefeated in the conference with a 55-13 win.
