GREEN BAY (WITI) — Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy said Matt Flynn will be the starting quarterback when the Packers square off against the Detroit Lions on Thursday, November 28th.

McCarthy said in a Wednesday news conference that Flynn has taken all the starter’s reps this week.

Aaron Rodgers threw passes with Matt Flynn and Scott Tolzien in practice — but Rodgers will not be suited up for the game.

The 5-5-1 Green Bay Packers take on the 6-5 Detroit Lions at Ford Field in a Thanksgiving Day contest on Thursday, November 28th. No two teams have faced off on Thanksgiving more than the Packers and the Lions.
