GREEN BAY (WITI) — Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy shared his thoughts on his team’s season and planning for next year during a news conference on Wednesday, January 8th.

McCarthy told reporters gathered in the media room at Lambeau Field that this is not where he wanted to be right now; that he’d rather be planning for another playoff game. He indicated this past season was a challenging one — but he led a group of men who just kept fighting.

McCarthy and his team of coaches are now going through evaluations of players and the final games. He’ll then move on to assessing the coaching situation with the team.

Coach McCarthy made a point of congratulating Packers fans. He indicated the atmosphere at Lambeau Field on Sunday, despite the bitter cold temperatures, was “unbelievable.”
