ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Kyle Lohse pitched six scoreless innings last night as the St. Louis Cardinals topped the Milwaukee Brewers 3-0 for a three-game sweep. Cardinals shortstop Daniel Descalso finished with a season-high three hits, including an RBI triple. Brewers starter Marco Estrada fell to 0-5 on the year, despite allowing just one run in six innings.

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Hanley Ramirez hit a walkoff single in the bottom of the ninth to give the Los Angeles Dodgers a 7-6 win over the Chicago Cubs yesterday. Andre Ethier added an RBI double for the Dodgers, who completed the three-game sweep. Cubs rookie Anthony Rizzo homered and drove in three runs.

CINCINNATI (AP) -- Starling Marte's tiebreaking two-run triple helped the Pittsburgh Pirates defeat the Cincinnati Reds yesterday 6-2. Starter A.J. Burnett remained undefeated against the Reds after allowing just one hit in eight-plus innings. Drew Stubbs homered and Jay Bruce had an RBI double for Cincinnati.

CANTON, Ohio (AP) -- Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints to a 17-10 win over the Arizona Cardinals last night in the Hall of Fame game. Brees threw for just 45 yards before turning the offense over to backup quarterback Chase Daniel. Cardinals quarterback Kevin Kolb left the game with bruised ribs.
