GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- Alex Smith tossed two touchdown passes and Frank Gore ran for another yesterday in the San Francisco 49ers' 30-22 win over the Green Bay Packers. Niners kicker David Akers added a 63-yard field goal at the end of the first half. Green Bay's Randall Cobb returned a 75-yard punt for a touchdown.
ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Allen Craig hit an RBI single in the 10th inning yesterday to give the St. Louis Cardinals a 5-4 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers. Matt Holliday and Carlos Beltran homered in the game for the Cardinals, who ended a three-game skid. Milwaukee's Norichika Aoki hit a two-run homer in the ninth to send the game into extras.
ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Brewers first baseman Corey Hart left yesterday's game in the fifth inning with an apparent leg injury. Hart was noticeably limping after fielding a ground ball and was replaced by Travis Ishikawa. Hart was 2 for 2 with a double before exiting the game.
CHICAGO (AP) -- Jay Cutler threw for 333 yards and two touchdowns yesterday as the Chicago Bears defeated the Indianapolis Colts 41-21 yesterday. Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery each caught a score and Michael Bush added two TDs on the ground for the Bears. Colts quarterback Andrew Luck passed for 309 yards, a TD and three interceptions in his NFL debut.
