Here is the latest Wisconsin sports news from The Associated Press:

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Jonathan Lucroy had a pair of RBI singles yesterday in the Milwaukee Brewers' 6-2 win over the Washington Nationals. Rickie Weeks had three hits while Aramis Ramirez added two doubles for the Brewers. Milwaukee remains two-and-a-half games back of St. Louis for the second NL wild card spot.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- After a rocky start to the season, Wisconsin is showing signs of improvement. Despite needing two touchdowns in the final 3:20 to secure a victory over UTEP on Saturday, the Badgers' offense finally showed signs of being the powerhouse everyone expected. Wisconsin also appears to have found a quarterback in redshirt freshman Joel Stave.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- University of Wisconsin police removed 131 fans from this weekend's football game against Texas-El Paso. Authorities say most of the ejections were related to fans sitting in the student section without student tickets. The Wisconsin State Journal reports 22 people were cited for a variety of offenses.

CHICAGO (AP) -- Major Wright returned an interception 45 yards for a touchdown yesterday in the Chicago Bears' 23-6 win over the St. Louis Rams. Michael Bush rushed for 55 yards and a score for the Bears, who sacked Rams quarterback Sam Bradford six times. St. Louis was held to just 160 yards of total offense.
