GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- Randall Cobb caught two touchdown passes yesterday as the Green Bay Packers beat the Arizona Cardinals 31-17. James Jones and Tom Crabtree also had scoring receptions for the Packers. The Cardinals have lost five games in a row.
GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- Republican vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan made a quick stop outside the home of the Green Bay Packers before yesterday's game. The Wisconsin congressman and his family joined up with a tailgating party across the street from Lambeau Field. Ryan wore a yellow and green striped tie and a Packers jacket.
WEST ALLIS, Wis. (AP) -- Heather Richardson won the 1,500 meters yesterday to complete a sweep of all five races at the U.S. Long Track Speedskating Championships. Richardson's time of 1 minute, 55.26 seconds shattered the Pettit National Ice Center record set in 2007. Second-place finisher Brittany Bowe also eclipsed the old mark.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Jay Cutler threw three touchdown passes to Brandon Marshall yesterday as the Chicago Beats routed the Tennessee Titans 51-20. Brian Urlacher returned an interception for a TD and Corey Wootton scored on a blocked punt for Chicago. The Bears scored a franchise-record 28 points in the first quarter en route to their sixth win in a row.
