Monona Grove's Stassi to be honored before Packers-Steelers game

Mike Stassi of Monona Grove High School (Monona, Wis.) has been named the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association/Green Bay Packers Coach of the Year and will be recognized on the field at 2 p.m. during pregame festivities at the Packers-Steelers game this Sunday.

Stassi recently completed his 15th season as the head coach of the Monona Grove football program. The Silver Eagles finished the 2013 season with a perfect 14-0 record, capped off by a 21-17 victory over Greendale High School in the WIAA Division 3 State Championship at Camp Randall Stadium.

Before the game, representatives from the Packers will present Stassi with a $2,000 donation to the Monona Grove football program.
