Mount Horeb Falls in State Title Game

MILWAUKEE -- Three crucial Xavier goals prevented Mount Horeb from winning a second straight WIAA boys soccer state title Saturday afternoon, as the Hawks soared over the Vikings 3-0.

Xavier scored their first goal 1:36 into the match, but Mount Horeb goalkeeper Colin Schultz kept Xavier in check for the rest of the half. Schultz tallied nine saves on the game.

Xavier turned it on in the second behind a Cesar Martinez goal in the 47th minute, and a late score by Jacob Hernandez.
