GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) -- North Dakota's Danny Kristo and Wisconsin's Michael Mersch traded goals 13 seconds apart as the teams skated to a 1-1 tie on Friday in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association.

North Dakota goalie Zane Gothberg made four of his 29 saves in overtime as his team killed off an untimely penalty, then failed to score with a man advantage.

North Dakota (13-8-6, 8-5-6) also killed off a five-minute power play in the last six minutes of regulation.

After a scoreless first period, Kristo scored on the power play at 25 seconds of the second period. Just 13 seconds later, Mersch slipped in a wraparound to tie it.

Landon Peterson made 21 saves for the Badgers (11-8-6, 8-5-6), but he faced just four shots in the third period and none in overtime.
