From the Associated Press:
WASHINGTON (AP) — The winless Washington Wizards had a lead against the Milwaukee Bucks but couldn't hold on. Up by 12 to start the game, that lead quickly dwindled and the Bucks pulled out a 101-91 win. Monta Ellis had 22 points. Washington dropped to 0-4.
MILWAUKEE (AP) — The Milwaukee men's basketball team has won its season opener in a blowout against a Division II program. Kyle Kelm had 15 points in the 76-46 win over University of Mary. Jordan Aaron had 12 points and seven assists for the Panthers.
MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (AP) — Moisture on the court had cancelled a game between Marquette and No. 4 Ohio State. The reason: it was to be played aboard the USS Yorktown. Conditions were deemed to be unsafe. The decision was made in agreement with both coaches and athletic directors.
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Wisconsin stands in the way for what could be Indiana's biggest football game in five years. If the Hoosiers win today, they'd be just two wins away from playing in Indianapolis for the Big Ten crown. But should Wisconsin win in Bloomington, it will clinch a second straight spot in the league title game.
