Here is the latest Wisconsin sports news from The Associated Press:

PITTSBURGH (AP) — Jeff Karstens pitched seven-plus innings before leaving with an injury and the Pittsburgh Pirates snapped a four-game losing streak with a 4-nil shutout of the Milwaukee Brewers on Saturday. Milwaukee had previously won four straight before yesterday's loss.

PITTSBURGH (AP) — The Milwaukee Brewers have recalled infielder Jeff Bianchi from Triple-A Nashville and outrighted reliever Mike McClendon to their top farm club. Bianchi was in the starting lineup at shortstop in Milwaukee's 4-0 loss at the Pittsburgh Pirates Saturday night. McClendon has a 6.43 ERA in 14 innings over nine games pitched for Milwaukee.

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Ian Kinsler hit a leadoff home run and Mitch Moreland launched a 463-foot shot, sending Ryan Dempster and the Texas Rangers past the Minnesota Twins 9-3 Saturday for their fourth straight win. Brian Duensing gave up a career-worst nine runs in 2 1-3 innings as the Twins lost their fifth in a row. Justin Morneau went 4 for 4 with a home run for the Twins at Texas. Minnesota has dropped 14 of 16 overall.

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Wisconsin native Tony Romo threw for 198 yards with two long touchdowns to 2nd year man Dwayne Harris while playing only the first quarter, and the Dallas Cowboys beat the St. Louis Rams 20-19 Saturday night. Romo looked polished despite missing his top three targets in Dez Bryant, Miles Austin and Jason Witten. Rams quarterback Sam Bradford was sacked twice and never got into a rhythm at Cowboys Stadium.
