MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Ryan Braun hit home run No. 34 on the season as the Milwaukee Brewers swept the Chicago Cubs with a 3-2 victory yesterday. Brewers starter Yovani Gallardo allowed two runs and struck out nine for his 13th win of the season. David DeJesus and Bryan LaHair both homered for the Cubs.

MILWAUKEE (AP) -- The Brewers have released veteran left-hander Randy Wolf. His release will make room in the rotation for Shaun Marcum, who is expected to return soon from a rehabilitation assignment. Wolf was 3-10 with a 5.69 ERA for Milwaukee this season.

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- New Green Bay Packers running back Cedric Benson is expected to see his first preseason game action tonight against in former team, the Cincinnati Bengals. Benson spent the past four seasons with the Bengals. He says he doesn't "hold anything personally against them."

CANTON, Ohio (AP) -- Former Green Bay Packers linebacker Dave Robinson has been chosen by the Pro Football Hall of Fame's seniors committee as a finalist for election into the class of 2013.
