DENVER (AP) -- DJ LeMahieu had a career-high four hits last night in the Colorado Rockies' 9-6 win over the Milwaukee Brewers. Dexter Fowler, Eric Young Jr., Tyler Colvin and Chris Nelson each added two hits for the Rockies. Carlos Gomez and Rickie Week each homered for the Brewers.

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- Cedric Benson insists he has a lot left to offer the Green Bay Packers. The free agent running back signed with the Packers on Sunday. Green Bay is missing James Starks because of a turf toe injury and the team lost John Kuhn to an ankle sprain during yesterday's practice.

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- Guard T.J. Lang has agreed to a four-year contract extension with the Green Bay Packers. Lang's agent announced the deal on his Twitter account last night. Lang was a fourth-round pick in the 2009 draft and became a full-time starter last season.

CHICAGO (AP) -- Jeff Samardzija tied a career-high with 11 strikeouts last night as the Chicago Cubs beat the Houston Astros 7-1. Darwin Barney and Alfonso Soriano each hit two-run homers for the Cubs. Brandon Barnes hit a pinch-hit home run for the Astros.
