Here is the latest Wisconsin sports news from The Associated Press:
SEATTLE (AP) -- Russell Wilson threw a disputed touchdown pass to Golden Tate at the end of regulation as the Seattle Seahawks rallied to beat the Green Bay Packers 14-12 last night. In the end zone, Tate shoved Green Bay's Sam Shields out of the way, then wrestled with M.D. Jennings for possession. It was ruled on the field as a touchdown and after a lengthy review, the play stood.
WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Washington Nationals scored six runs in the fourth inning yesterday on their way to a 12-2 rout of the Milwaukee Brewers. Ryan Zimmerman hit a three-run homer for the Nats in the frame. The loss puts the Brewers three-and-a-half games behind St. Louis for the second NL wild card spot.
UNDATED (AP) -- Wisconsin is preparing to take on Nebraska this weekend with running back Montee Ball's status up in the air. Ball left Saturday's game against UTEP with a head injury. Coach Bret Bielema says he's optimistic but not certain that Ball will be able to practice this week.
OLYMPIA FIELDS, Ill. (AP) -- Casie Cathrea, Karen Chung and Esther Lee each won two team matches yesterday to help the United States gain an advantage over Europe in the Junior Ryder Cup. The two-day event concludes today with 12 singles matches. Chung and Casey Danielson of Osceola, Wis., beat Harang Lee and Covadonga Sanjuan in foursomes.
