Tuesday Morning Wisconsin Sports Report

Posted Tuesday, November 13, 2012 --- 8:55 a.m.

Here is the latest Wisconsin sports news from The Associated Press:

PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Brandon Jennings scored 33 points and Monta Ellis had 18 to lead the Milwaukee Bucks to a 105-96 win over the Philadelphia 76ers last night. Jennings and Ellis combined to make 20 of 41 shots with 10 rebounds and 15 assists and the Bucks shot around 60 percent most of the game. Jrue Holiday had 25 points and a whopping eight turnovers for the Sixers.

MILWAUKEE (AP) -- What a difference a year makes for Milwaukee Bucks forward Larry Sanders. The 6-11 Sanders averaged 3.6 points and 3.1 rebounds per game over 12.5 minutes last season. So far this season, Sanders is averaging 12 points while playing a career-high 27 minutes per game as the Bucks have jumped out to a surprising 3-2 record.

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- The Green Bay Packers have placed offensive tackle Bryan Bulaga on the injured list. Bulaga started the first nine games this year and injured his hip November 4th against Arizona. The Packers used Bulaga's spot on the active roster yesterday to sign linebacker Vic So'oto. So'oto played in seven games with the Packers last year and was with the Oakland Raiders for four games this season.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- The Carrier Classic will return to the USS Yorktown to open the college basketball season despite last weekend's cancelled contest between Ohio State and Marquette. Morale Entertainment President Mike Whalen says his group and the Patriots Point Development Authority have agreed to hold the event again next year. This year's men's contest between the fourth-ranked Buckeyes and the Golden Eagles was called off when condensation on the court made it too dangerous for the players.
