MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- The contract for the University of Wisconsin's new head football coach is up for approval by a Board of Regents committee.
A notice for Thursday's telephone meeting of the Regents' executive committee doesn't disclose any details of the deal, and it doesn't name the potential coach.
Reports indicate that Utah State coach Gary Andersen will get the job. No official news conference to announce the hire has been scheduled, but an athletic department spokesman said there definitely won't be one on Thursday.
Anderson would replace Bret Bielema, who left the Badgers earlier this month to take the Arkansas job.
Spokesmen for both the UW System and athletic department on the Madison campus say once there is something official to say, it will be announced.
