GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- Undrafted rookie Jarrett Boykin survived the final round of cuts to become the sixth wide receiver on the Green Bay Packers' roster on Friday.
Wide receivers Tori Gurley and Diondre Borel, who turned down spots on other teams' active rosters last year to stay on the Packers' practice squad, were among the 18 players released by the team to get down to the 53-man limit.
Green Bay also placed 2011 first-round draft pick Derek Sherrod on the physically unable to perform list. Sherrod suffered a horrific broken lower leg last Dec. 18 at Kansas City and hasn't played or practiced since.
Also, outside linebacker Vic So'oto was placed on injured reserve with an ankle injury suffered in Thursday night's preseason finale against the Chiefs.
