Posted Wednesday, October 10, 2012 --- 7:50 a.m.

Here is the latest Wisconsin sports news from The Associated Press

CANTON, Ohio (AP) -- Brandon Jennings and Monta Ellis scored 15 points apiece last night in the Milwaukee Bucks' 97-80 preseason win over the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Bucks finished with six players in double figures. C.J. Miles led the Cavaliers with 18 points.

CINCINNATI (AP) -- Scott Rolen's error in the 10th inning gave San Francisco the go-ahead run, and the Giants beat the Cincinnati Reds 2-1 last night in the NL division series. The Giants avoided the series sweep when Rolen bobbled Joaquin Arias' grounder and threw late to first. Game 4 is this afternoon in Cincinnati.

OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) -- Seth Smith hit a solo homer for Oakland last night as the Athletics beat the Detroit Tigers 2-0 to avoid a division series sweep. Yoenis Cespedes added an RBI single for the A's, who cut their deficit in the best-of-five series to 2-1. Jhonny Peralta had two of the Tigers four hits.

HOUSTON (AP) -- Houston Texans linebacker Brian Cushing will miss the rest of the season with a torn knee ligament. Coach Gary Kubiak says Cushing has a torn anterior cruciate ligament and will need surgery. The Texans next face the Green Bay Packers on Sunday night.
