CLEVELAND (AP) -- Kyrie Irving scored 29 points last night in the Cleveland Cavaliers' 94-84 victory over the short-handed Washington Wizards. Anderson Varejao pulled down a career-high 23 rebounds for the Cavs. The Wizards played without John Wall, Kevin Seraphin and power forward Nene.

MIAMI (AP) -- LeBron James scored 26 points last night to lead the Miami Heat past the Boston Celtics 120-107. Dwyane Wade added 29 points for the defending NBA champions, who received their rings before the game. Ray Allen, in his first game with Miami, scored 19 points against his former team.

UNDATED (AP) -- St. Louis Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina has won a Gold Glove for the fifth time in his career. The awards for fielding excellence were presented yesterday by Rawlings. Nine players took home Gold Gloves for the first time this year.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- The Jacksonville Jaguars have traded receiver Mike Thomas to the Detroit Lions for an undisclosed draft pick. Thomas signed a three-year extension worth $18 million last October. Thomas gives the Lions receiving corps depth after losing Nate Burleson for the season.
