Workers hurrying to prep Lambeau Field for Sunday

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- It takes a lot of time to prepare Lambeau Field for a Packers playoff game. But arrangements for this weekend's game are even more rushed because it wasn't until last weekend that the team even learned it'd be hosting a playoff game.

A Press-Gazette Media report says crews are confident everything will be ready on time -- but it will take a lot of work.

Charlie Millerwise manages the stadium's food concessions. He took his family out of town for a New Year's Eve celebration but he had to cut the trip short when he realized the Packers were in.

And field manager Allen Johnson tentatively began preparations last week to shut down the field's heating systems. Now his crew is back to tending to the turf.
