When rivals meet on the court anything can happen and it usually does when Monroe takes on Edgewood.
The Crusaders scored the games first 11 points in this match-up with their Southern Badger conference rivals. But the Cheesemakers responded by pouring in the next 12 points to take the lead. After that things got even crazier before Monroe finally escaped with a 56-52 win in overtime.
Monroe (4-3/4-0) was led by Mitch Tordoff's game high 26 points while Edgewood (6-4/3-2) got 18 points from Patrick Lagman and 15 by Derek Braucht.
Edgewood, which led by 5 at the half, had a chance to win the game with 1 second to play but missed a 1 and 1 at the Free throw line after Monroe called back to back timeouts.
