Parker beat Middleton, creates 3-way tie in Big 8

Playing each other with a lot at stake is nothing new for the Middleton and Janesville Parker girls basketball programs. Thursday night the Big 8 powers met again in Janesville with first place in the conference at stake.

In the teams first meeting of this season, thanks to a delay created by mother nature, the host Vikings emerged with a 53-50 win in a tight affair throughout.

The Parker win creates a 3-way tie atop the Big 8 standings with Middleton, Parker and Verona all at 13-3 in conference play. The Vikings and Cardinals hae more meeting left this season and it's one that could crown a champion. They'll play the each other in the regualr season finale for both February 19th at Middleton.
