Revenge was worth the wait for the Barneveld girls basketball. Tuesday night, front of a sellout home crowd sporting pink to on "Raise Cancer Awareness Night", the Golden Eagles jumped on conference rival Black Hawk early and didn't look back on the way to their 52-42 win.
The win Barneveld moves them into a tie with the Warriors for first place in the Six River Eastern division at 10-1 with just one game to play for both. It also gave the 7th Golden Eagles revenge for their loss to the 5th ranked Warriors just 10 days ago.
Katie Place led Black Hawk with 11 points. Brooke Allen poured in a game high 12 points for Barneveld.
