Memorial rallies to skate past DeForest
Memorial saved its best for last. That's one way of looking at the Spartans 1st round sectional win over DeForest. Another is to say it just took awhile for them to solve the riddle that was Norskies goalie Jason Scott. The junior turned away just about everything the Spartans thru at him for 2 1/2 periods at MIA. But in the final 6 plus minutes Memorial scored 4 times to skate off with a 5-2 win to advance to the quarterfinals.
The Spartans will play top seed Verona Friday night at 7:00 at the Eagles Nest in Verona. The Wildcats beat Memorial both of their previous meeting this season by 6-2 scores.
