MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Riley Kallas ran for two scores and hauled in a touchdown pass to lift Winneconne to a 28-14 victory over Platteville on Thursday night in the WIAA Division 4 title game at Camp Randall Stadium.

It was the first state title for the Wolves (9-5), who overcame a 0-3 start and had to win their final two games to qualify for the playoffs.

Platteville (9-5) opened with a 72-yard scoring drive for an early 7-0 lead, but Winneconne's Peter Buyeske returned the ensuing kickoff 74 yards to the Hillmen 5-yard line to set up the tying touchdown run by Mitchell Markert.

Kallas added touchdown runs of 1 and 58 yards to put Winneconne up 21-7 at the half.

Kallas added a 39-yard touchdown reception from Mitchel Fenrich in the third quarter. Jacob Bernhardt had a 15-yard touchdown run for Platteville in the fourth quarter.
