WAUKESHA, Wis. (AP) -- A 44-year-old Waukesha man is accused of throwing an ax at a neighbor as she took out her garbage.

Waukesha police say it happened early yesterday, and the 21-year-old woman was not injured.

But she was so shaken up by being nearly hit with the ax that she and a friend called the 911 emergency number for help.

The man has not yet been formally charged.

Police say he was intoxicated at the time.
