Holmen Teen Dies After Fall from La Crosse Bluff
A 17-year-old Holmen girl is dead after falling from a bluff in La Crosse.

LA CROSSE, Wis. (AP) -- A 17-year-old Holmen girl is dead after falling from a bluff in La Crosse.
Authorities on Thursday identified the teen as Rachel Cody. La Crosse police say she fell from near the top of Grandad Bluff on Wednesday night.
A male friend told police he lost track of Cody after they went on a trail outside the safety fence that lines the top edge.
Police say her body was found on a steep incline on the face of the bluff.
Cody was a senior at Holmen High School.
Grandad Bluff is about 600 feet high. About two years ago, 19-year-old Kimberly Coppens of Holmen also died after going outside the safety fence.
