Wisconsin Company Buys 3 McDonald's in Minnesota
A Wisconsin company that already owns dozens of McDonald's restaurants in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa is buying three more in Minnesota.

ALBERT LEA, Minn. (AP) -- A Wisconsin company that already owns dozens of McDonald's restaurants in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa is buying three more in Minnesota.

Onalaska, Wis.-based Courtesy Corp. bought one in Albert Lea and two in Austin from Austin resident Dave Scherer. Scherer owns two other McDonald's in Albert Lea and one in Clear Lake, Iowa.

The deal was effective Wednesday.

Courtesy Corp. now owns 42 McDonald's restaurants in western Wisconsin, southern Minnesota and in Decorah, Iowa.

McDonald's is headquartered in Oak Brook, Ill. It is the franchisor for its restaurants and it must OK transactions of restaurants with its name.
