APPLETON, Wis. (AP) -- Three young children have been removed from a filthy Outagamie County residence and their mother has been charged with leaving them home alone.

Police went to the Town of Oneida home last week after someone called to say the children were left alone. The children are ages 19 months, 4 and 6 years old. The younger children were found wandering around the first floor while the 6-year-old slept upstairs.

Officers say garbage and clothes were strewn around the house and it smelled strongly of urine. They say obscene graffiti was found on the walls in the children's bedroom.

Twenty-five-year-old Kayla Pisha is charged with child neglect and child abandonment. She's to appear for a preliminary hearing Nov. 13.

They need to take this woman's children away from her and give them to someone who will actually care for them. Children NEED supervision and a clean environment to live in. They do not deserve this.
