NEILLSVILLE, Wis. (AP) -- A central Wisconsin man convicted of delivering a fatal punch at a Neillsville tavern is going to prison for five years.

Judge James Mason also on Monday sentenced 37-year-old Tyler Meier of rural Eleva to five years extended supervision to follow his prison term.

Meier was found guilty last year after pleading no contest to a felony murder charge in the death of Keith Young in February 2009. The 43-year-old Neillsville man was knocked to the ground and later died of head injuries.

Meier tells WEAU-TV he's not a murderer and he wants to make amends for his actions by teaching others about the dangers of drugs that have caused trouble in his life.
