Rachelle joined the NBC 15 news team in March of 2011 after having spent 2 years as a reporter at KIMT in Mason City, IA.

She grew up in the Twin Cities area and attended college at the nearby University of Minnesota, majoring in journalism. She’s a big fan of Gopher athletics: Rachelle was a middle-distance runner on the U’s track team all four years. After graduation, Rachelle headed to Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism to pursue her Master’s degree. While there, she got experience reporting in both Chicago and Washington, D.C. She graduated in August of 2008 and moved to Mason City a few months later.

In her free time, Rachelle likes being active, spending time outside, reading voraciously and enjoying the company of friends and family!

A politics junkie, Rachelle is excited to be living and working in Wisconsin’s Capital. She’s also excited to explore and report on everything else this thriving community has to offer!
