Madeline joined the NBC 15 news team as a reporter in April 2013. She’s what the industry calls a “one-man-band” journalist, meaning she shoots and edits all of her own stories, in addition to writing them.
Born and raised in Madison, Madeline is thrilled to be reporting in her hometown. She’s a 2007 West High graduate, and also attended UW Madison, where she double-majored in journalism and gender and women’s studies.
Madeline comes to NBC 15 from our sister station, WSAW-TV in Wausau, WI. While in Wausau, she covered everything from the Honor Flight to Washington D.C., to the first ever child sex trafficking case prosecuted in Marathon County, to the historic recall election of Gov. Scott Walker, which earned her a Wisconsin Broadcasters Association award for Best Editorial/Commentary for a series she did on political ads.
In her free time, you’ll find Madeline hitting up all of her favorite Madison places with family and friends—whether it’s restaurants downtown, her neighborhood pool, or some of the scenic parks and trails in the area. Madeline also likes to travel around the country and around the world. Her most memorable trip to date is when she went to China for the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
Madeline enjoys telling viewers’ compelling stories most. If you have any story ideas, send ‘em her way: firstname.lastname@example.org.
