Barclay joined NBC 15 in September of 2008 as a general assignment reporter. Before coming to NBC-15 Barclay worked at WJFW in Rhinelander, WI. He didn’t start out on air, but after about a year he finally got his big break. Barclay says, “I held just about every job possible at WJFW before I got a chance to move in front of the camera. I was a floor director, master control room operator, director, production assistant…you get the point.”
Barclay, a Milwaukee native and UW graduate, says he’s happy to be back in Southern Wisconsin. He says, “Northern Wisconsin was nice but winters up there seem twice as long and ten times as cold!” He’s especially excited to be back in Madison so he can be closer to his family and friends.
When he’s not at work you will most likely find Barclay watching, playing or reading about sports. Barclay’s a huge Brewers, Bucks, Packers and of course Badgers fan.
