Hobie Artigue made the move from the Bayou State to the Badger State in July 2012, joining WMTV as weekend sports anchor.
Previously, Hobie worked in the same capacity at KTVE in Monroe, LA.
Hobie was born and raised in South Louisiana, and graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in broadcast journalism from the Manship School of Mass Communication.
During his time at LSU, Hobie interned with ESPN at its headquarters in Bristol, CT, and served as ESPNU’s Campus Connection correspondent. Hobie also produced and anchored LSU’s student run sports show “LSU Sports Showtime.”
Hobie is beyond excited to cover the Wisconsin Badgers and the B1G, as well as the surrounding universities and high schools in the Madison area!
