Special Honors For NBC15 News

NBC15 has been honored by the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association as "Station of the Year" and "Best News Operation of the Year."

The awards were presented this past weekend at the WBA's 2009 Awards for Excellence Gala.

NBC15 received several first place awards:

-- Spot News

NBC15 received second place awards in the following categories: Hard News/Investigative (second entry in category), Series/Documentary, Feature, News Video (second entry in category), Sports Reporting, Sportscast, Best Commercial.

Third place awards were presented to NBC15 for the following categories: Evening Newscast, Public Service Announcement, Best Commercial (second entry in category) and Best Coverage of Economic Downturn.

The Excellence in Broadcasting Awards program is sponsored annually by the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association to recognize outstanding achievement by Wisconsin radio and television broadcasters.

In April, NBC15 was honored by the "Associated Press" with several first place awards. First place awards were given in the following categories:
