The Holiday Craft Bonanza is our kick-off to the Holiday Season in Mount Horeb along with the Small Town Holidays event in the downtown area. This year’s Craft Bonanza includes over 50 artist/vendors, a large bake sale (yum), raffle, silent art auction, horse & buggy rides, music, food, donation collection for the Giving Tree, the Good Fortune Origami Tree, Jorgen the Troll, Town Scrooge and Julenisse (Scandinavian Santa).

The first full weekend in October. Dozens of crafters line “The Trollway”, Mount Horeb’s historic Main Street, lined with life-sized mythical creatures. Experience our Norwegian heritage with farmer’s market, buggy rides, quilt show, heritage demonstrations, live music, food, antique tractor show, mini pedal tractor pull, and the Sons of Norway Host Frokost–an authentic Norwegian Autumnal breakfast. Fair and festivities run from 9 to 4 on Saturday, and 10 to 3 on Sunday. Don’t miss this fabulous fall event for the whole family.

The Cambridge Arts Council has announced a series of workshops led by area artists on Saturday, March 8th, 21st and 22nd, 2014 in conjunction with National Arts Month. This second annual series will feature a tantalizing menu of workshops including: glass blowing, hot press painting, ladder weave & wire wrap jewelry, felted vessels, Giclee printing techniques, basket weaving and gourd carving.
“This is the second year,” noted Virginia Becker, who along with Kristin Soper, is coordinating the series for The Cambridge Arts Council. “The workshops are a low key way to learn about a variety of art mediums in a personalized, small group setting.”
New this year, is an art retreat weekend with a “Wine & Art Night” on Friday, March 21st, held before the workshops on the 22nd . Enjoy a little laughter, wine and art with friends during your weekend getaway in Cambridge, featuring charming area Bed & Breakfasts, awesome hiking or biking trails, shopping and of course, lots of delicious art
