The 2014 event will feature fourteen engaging workshops that span a range of literary topics held throughout the day in downtown Mineral Point. The day will conclude with New York Times bestselling author, humorist and radio show host, Michael Perry at the Mineral Point Opera House. Pre-registration online is encouraged.

A celebration of cheesemaking, dairy farming, and the Swiss traditions of Green County. September 19 - 21, 2014 marks the 100th anniversary of the festival, which has taken place in downtown Monroe since 1914. Cheese Tent, Family Farm Adventure Tent, Cow Milking Contest, Old Time Copper Kettle Cheesemaking Demonstration, Arts & Crafts, Children's Parade, vendors, three entertainment stages (yodeling, alphorns, accordions, rock'n'roll, blues), dairy farm and barn quilt tours, brewery and distillery tours, food booths (deep fried cheese curds, gourmet grilled cheese, cream puffs, brats, cheesecake on a stick and much more) and Wisconsin's only parade led by a herd of Brown Swiss cows.

Annual Fall Heritage Festival

The first full weekend in October. Dozens of crafters line “The Trollway”, Mount Horeb’s historic Main Street, lined with life-sized mythical creatures. Experience our Norwegian heritage with farmer’s market, buggy rides, quilt show, heritage demonstrations, live music, food, antique tractor show, mini pedal tractor pull, and the Sons of Norway Host Frokost–an authentic Norwegian Autumnal breakfast.
