Janesville's 37th CROP Hunger Walk
Cargill United Methodist Church, 2000 Wesley Avenue, Janesville, WI 53545
One afternoon of walking to help end hunger locally and around the world. That's CROP Hunger Walk in a nutshell.
Janesville's 37th CROP Hunger Walk is scheduled for Sunday, April 27, 2014, at Cargill United Methodist Church, 2000 Wesley Avenue, Janesville. Janesville is hosting the one and only spring CROP Hunger Walk in the area this year. Registration begins at 1:00 p.m. and the walk/run starts at 1:30 p.m. There is no registration fee, but CROP Hunger Walk donations are gratefully accepted to help raise funds for local and worldwide hunger relief.
Registrants choose to walk or run on a designated 2k, 5k, or 10k route. You may walk/run the portion of the route most comfortable to you. Water is provided along the way. The most important thing is your participation.
There will be face painting for kids, treats for leashed dogs accompanying walkers/runners, and treats for registrants after the walk/run.
Janesville's local food pantry, ECHO, will be the recipient of 25% of the funds raised from this year's event. In addition, ECHO will collect canned goods and non-perishable items on the day of the event.
We are looking for people to join us to make a difference in the lives of our neighbors and around the world. Register on the day of the event (Sunday, April 27th), or create a team of friends and relatives right now and collect donations to support the cause. Further information may be found at: www.cargillumc.org; www.cropwalk.org; or by contacting Debbie Fisher at (608) 743-0937.
