Annual Summer Picnic and Soiree
Restoration outing 9:00 am to noon, picnic at noon
Lake Farm County Park, Shelter #3, 3113 Libby Rd, Madison, WI 53711
Enjoy the Wisconsin outdoors with fellow Sierrans at our annual summer event, and partake of woodlands, prairies, Lake Waubesa – and lots of fine food and company. We’ll provide most of the food and drink; we just need you and something you’d like to share. Lake Farm Park is easily accessible from Madison, so you can arrive by boat, bike or other conveyance of your choice. From Madison, take the Raywood (South Towne) exit south from the beltline to Moorland Rd. Turn left and go past the Heritage Center and turn left on Libby Rd. to Lake Farm Park.
There will be a restoration outing from 9 am – noon where we’ll remove invasives such as honeysuckle and buckthorn. We’ll provide tools, but please wear work clothes and gloves.
The picnic will be at noon. We provide grill items and refreshments and you bring yourself and a special dish you’d like to share.
