America’s Best Flowers Offers Creative Fun During Scarecrow Days
America's Best Flowers, 4311 Vilas Hope Rd., Cottage Grove, WI
What do you get when you combine a wooden frame, dried straw, old clothes, burlap, and an assortment of silly facial features? You get your own, personalized scarecrow, of course! Come join us for hours of creative fun during America’s Best Flowers’ annual Scarecrow Days!
From Sept. 20 through Oct. 12, 10am-5pm (10am-4pm on weekends), bring your family, friends and co-workers to America’s Best Flowers where you will have the opportunity to make and take your one-of-a-kind scarecrow. Scarecrows are the perfect way to welcome the fall season as well as your neighborhood trick-or-treaters. Everyone is invited to come and express their creativity!
If you’ve never built a scarecrow, don’t worry: the friendly staff at America’s Best Flowers have been helping people build scarecrows for years. We have inexpensive kits with everything you’ll need plus optional thrift shop clothing (you can bring your own scarecrow wardrobe if you prefer). We also have bundles of corn shocks, pumpkins, gourds, and ornamental corn available for purchase to accessorize your scarecrow. We’ll even clean up the mess when you’re finished!
To register groups of five or more, please call (608) 222-2269. America’s Best Flowers is Dane County’s largest locally owned and operated garden center. We are located at 4311 Vilas Hope Rd. in Cottage Grove. For more gardening or special event info visit our website at www.americasbestflowers.com.
